Make a Bunny Happy Easter Card:

For this project, start with a 5" X 7" blank white greeting card or fold your own from a 10" X 14" piece of cardstock. The photo below shows everything that will also need to be cut out. Cut the bunny and his hands from white card stock and cut the inside of the bunny ears and nose from pink card stock. Also from pink card stock, cut one piece that is 4.5" X 3.75" and one piece that is 3.5" X 1.5" . From yellow card stock, cut a piece that is 4.5" X 6.5" and then, using the free printable as a template, cut an oval in the front, at least 1/4" from the top of the piece of yellow card stock. Choose either the " Happy Easter" printable, or for something more playful the " Hoppy Easter" , and cut that out as well.

Start assembling the bunny's head first, as shown below. Glue the insides of the ears and the nose in place. Draw the eyes and nose with black paint, black pen, or a black marker. Now glue the head to the pink piece of card stock you previously cut out, but DO NOT glue down the ears. You may even want to fold them forward a little.

Now, on the back of the yellow card stock with the oval shaped opening, apply glue around the opening and adhere the pink card stock with bunny head to the yellow card stock. Now, place the bunny's hands and glue them down.

Next, adhere the yellow card stock to your blank white greeting card. Glue the last pink rectangle of card stock below the oval and choose one of the greetings to glue on top of that. That's it, you are finished!

To further decorate this card, here are some suggestions:
  • Cut the yellow card stock(not the opening) with fancy scissors.
  • Use a corner punch on the yellow card stock.
  • Cut the bunny head and hands from felt and applique/embroider the face.
  • Instead of pink card stock behind the bunny and greetings, use paper with a spring or Easter print(or stamp it).
