Make a Hatching Chicks Easter or Spring Card:
Now take a piece of green card stock that is also 4.5" X 6.5" and cut it in half lengthwise. Don't cut the line perfectly straight because this will be the land and you may want a little elevation. Choose a half to be the land and glue it to card lining up the bottom straight edge with the bottom edge of the blue card stock. From the extra green card stock, cut a piece that is about 1" X 6" to go behind the greeting(either Happy Easter or Happy Spring). Glue the green strip of card stock and the printable greeting to your card.
Now you just need to add the chicks and eggs. Cut the eggs from white card stock and cut the chick from yellow card stock. Use a craft knife and cutting board to cut along the lines shown on the whole egg. From orange card stock, cut 2 triangles for the beaks. Cut them a little larger than you actually need them to be because you will be slipping them into the slot in the egg and behind the chick's face(instead of trying to line it up perfectly with the edge).
Now arrange everything on the card and glue it all in place. Before gluing down the whole egg, slip one of the orange beaks into the slot so the beak looks like it's sticking out of the egg. When gluing down the chick, it's easier to glue the beak down first then the yellow chick with as much beak showing as you'd like. After all the pieces are glued down, use black paint or a black marking pen to draw the chick's eye and legs.
